Me: Erin Firestine

Duuuude.

Yeah, I'm crazy... I tend to just say whatever happens to pop into my head. Oftentimes it's amusing, and that's always cool. I've always felt that the ability to make people laugh is one of the most important skills a person can learn. After all, if everybody spent a little more time trying to make other people smile, the world would be a better place, wouldn't it? Yeah, totally.

I'm a writer... I write... stuff. Yes. More of a writer than an artist, really. I currently attend the College of Santa Fe, where I'm working on a BFA in TechTheater (set design concentration) with a creative writing minor. They told me I couldn't get a minor with my BFA degree, but oh how I will show them! Bwahahaha! When I graduate in four years the first thing I am going to do is go to all of my teachers in the theater department and yell, "HAH! IN YOUR FACE, BITCHES!"

THIS TOWN IS FULL OF HIPPIES. O_O

I grew up in Tucson, and mah fambly is healthy and loving and supportive. While this is very good for my psyche, it's not so good for my writing career (apparently a bad childhood is required to become a writer) so I write mostly fantasy. I also like to doodle and design costumes and sets for plays I write myself.

I'm pro-choice and pro-gay rights. I'm also abrasive, cynical and anti-social. I can't stand people who don't look at all the facts before making a decision, and I abhor people who refuse to listen to the other side of an argument. I believe everyone has the right to choose to do whatever the hell they feel like as long as they aren't hurting someone else.

I have one dog. He is part German Shepherd, part Boxer, which means he is really big and really hyper, despite his oncoming age. He is easily the most adorable creature on the face of the planet. I also have a rat. His name is Jack Han Strider, after Sparrow, Skellington, Solo, and Aragorn. Quite a legacy to live up to, no? Mostly he just spazzes out.

I'm a member of the class of 2006. Go, um, sixers. Yeah. Wooo. Or do I have to change that to the class of 2010 now that I'm in college? I'm currently a sophomore at the College of Santa Fe.

I started Thespiphobia with one basic goal in mind: to improve my artwork. I've noticed, through a probably unhealthy obsession with webcomics, that if you continue to regularly update your comic, your drawing inevitably improves after a year or two. So that's how it started. After a while it evolved to the point where I was drawing Thespiphobia for its own sake. Which is as it should be.

I'll probably add more stuff here when it occurs to me. In the meantime, AIM me at theWingsmith or email me at scaletayle@hotmail.com. I love meeting new people. ^_^

And send me fanart! o_o
